ERASE Racism's Student Voices Campaign called for a reflection on the horrific Charlottesville incident. With the help of dedicated teachers and administrators from Elmont Memorial High School, we received over 40 responses. Students used poems, videos, and op-eds to convey their feelings towards racism and bigotry in the United States. Students provided intricate and thought-provoking responses to the following questions:
- How can we as a community love each other better in our schools and communities?
- What would this look like?
- What can we learn from a tragedy like Charlottesville and how can we take action against such bigotry and hate in our daily lives?

Help us raise awareness about the need to create racially integrated schools and classrooms by holding a screening of our documentary A TALE OF TWO SCHOOLS: Race and Education on Long Island. The film is 30 minutes and is available with Spanish subtitles.
