Since 2001, ERASE Racism has been working to eliminate barriers to racial equity on Long Island. On June 4, 2014 at The Garden City Hotel ERASE Racism celebrated its past accomplishments and the accomplishments of three other civil rights organizations. The Anti Discrimination Center, Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights Under Law and NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund, Inc. were each 2014 Abraham Krasnoff Courage and Commitment Award Honorees for their outstanding advocacy in advancing civil rights and the rule of the law. The Bluestone Organization received ERASE Racism's Corporate Leadership Award for increasing affordable housing on Long Island. Henry Schein, Inc. received ERASE Racism's Corporate Leadership Award for its commitment to the underserved through access to health care and opportunity.
