C.U.R.E. Cards Uplifting Racial Equity

In the spring of 2015 ERASE Racism worked closely with Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Assistant Professor of Urban Planning and Director of the Civic Data Design Lab, Sarah Williams, and her students, on designing a crowdsourcing game that would serve both as a tool for education and a means to generate energy and awareness around racial equity issues on Long Island and in the region.

For those less familiar with social media and digital technologies, crowdsourcing is a process of gathering and disseminating information to a large group of people utilizing social media and online platforms. ERASE Racism’s crowdsourcing game, C.U.R.E – Cards Uplifting Racial Equity, allows its users to discover little-known facts, dispel myths, read stories from individuals who have encountered racism in the region, and contribute their own content.

We encourage you to play the game and contribute your own stories by visiting http://playcure.org/ . Once you’ve experienced the game we ask that you please share C.U.R.E with others to help us spread the word!
