August 28th marked the 50th Anniversary of the historic March on Washington, a massive and well-organized demonstration that served as the symbolic unifying run-up to the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and Voting Rights At of 1965, the Federal legislation that ended America's formal system of segregation.
