Thank you for joining us on June 8th to honor our President and Founder, Elaine Gross. It was a joy to celebrate her monumental accomplishments over the past 21 years with you.
When we created ERASE Racism in 2001, our mission came as a revelation to people who never viewed Long Island's racially segregated communities as a form of racism. Through significant research, education, training, policy advocacy and civic engagement, we have succeeded in influencing regional and state leadership and educating thousands of students and professionals about structural racism and how to work towards true racial equity.
We are proud of these achievements but know that significant work remains. We look forward to continuing our partnership with you for ERASE Racism's next chapter. Together we can ensure that on Long Island no person's access to opportunity is limited by race or ethnicity.
