SUFFOLK COUNTY! Ready to inspire change in your school community? Join us for the Fall 2026 Long Island Leaders of Tomorrow Conference, hosted by ERASE Racism in partnership with Eastern Suffolk BOCES.

We are inviting high school students from Suffolk County school districts to our annual, student-led conferences, which draw over 200 students from diverse districts across Long Island.

Location: St. Joseph's University
Time: 8:30 AM – 2:00 PM
Light breakfast and lunch provided

Students spend the day in open, honest conversations about racial equity and the challenges affecting their schools and communities. They leave with broader perspectives, stronger leadership skills, and greater confidence to help create meaningful change.

It's an action-packed, student-led experience that helps them:

• Connect with students across district lines and other areas of difference
• Learn about racial equity and challenges facing Long Island
• Work together in order to make meaningful, positive changes in their schools and communities
• Strengthen their leadership and civic engagement skills

This conference aligns with two NYSED Initiatives:

1. Supports NYSED's Portrait of a Graduate, a state-adopted, shared vision defining the essential skills and dispositions all New York students should possess upon graduation to thrive in college, careers, and civic life.
2. Supports students working toward the NYS Seal of Civic Readiness by giving them opportunities to explore civic issues, consider different perspectives, and begin thinking about taking informed action. Conference activities align with key elements of the Civic Readiness Capstone.
